I have the same issue. The industrial network in our factory is SINEC-H1 and linked with #6 PLC S5-155 with WinCC 5.0+SP2. The process station linked to WinCC by CP1613 and CP143 at each PLC station.

We want to replace one PLC station with S7-400 and ET200 and use the existing backbone network SINEC H1. What is the required - or the media converter to link the two systems and use the same SCADA WinCC 5.0+SP2.

Attached is the drawing. Can any one help.

well... actually this should not be a big Problem even so we face certain difficulties.

First, the Ethernet Speed. The H1 uses 10 MBit/s. The HW you intend to install uses 100MBit/s but is capable to slow down to 10MBit.

Second, you may not use PROFINET on the 10MBit/s line. So if you have the PROFINET IO and the S7-400 on one port of the CP or the CPU you may use on the other Port of the CP or CPU the Connection to the 10MBit Network.

The ports on the S7 (CPU as well as CP) are switched, so you will have no Problems.

Lastly the Interface problem:

To interconnect a S7 to the H1 Network you need a device that provides a TP Interface (for the S7) and a MAU Interface for the Transceiver. There are several possibilities... for Example an "old" HUB or SWITH with Uplink to an 10Base5 Network. These are still available. Or you use something like the “MiLAN MIL-130A”. Even so I do not know if this is still available.
