Seimens 828D CNC with third party IO communication

madhu7788 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear all, i am using Siemens 828D and 840D Controller CNC package with Siemens IO module , now i want to replace Siemens IO module with some other third party Field IO module . is there a possibility that i can go with third party IO module with same Package . Please let me know how can i configure third party field IO modules with Siemens 828D controller with step7 PLc

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Hello, You need to establish the communication with IOs for which please load the GSD files of third party IOs & update PLC hardware configuration in PLC project. HTH. P.S. It is possible with 840D but I am afraid not possible with 828D since it is panel based CNC with limited PLC user data blcok access.
