No Profinet communication between PLC and robot

Hello everyone!

Did someone find a solution for this problem?

I am also in a similar situation : no Profinet communication between PLC and robot.

-robot  Fanuc R-30iB

-CP1604 v2.6, A05B-2600-J930 v8.23 mainboard A05B-2600-C001

-GSDML: GSDML-V2.31-FANUC-A05B2600J930V823D4-20160119.xml installed

-PLC : S7-300 319F-3 PN/DP v3.2

-switch: SCALANCE X208 v4.5, 8 ports.

The PING command to the IP of the robot works ,but the robot show up as offline in the online hardware config page. I am using Simatic Manager Step 7 V5.5 + SP4.

Any thoughts on this?

can you try to connect the robot directly to the PLC, is it then working?

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately for me, I have to leave the site for a few days and cannot make the direct connection test now. I will return soon and post the result. Are you suspecting a problem with the switch?
