Hello Chiku; Many Step 5 functions have been replabced in Step 7 by integrated functions that you do not need to convert: - SD is a ON-delay timer, in Step 7 you va replace thenm with TON functions from IEC instructions library, or the older ST-timer SODT. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1254265/Siemens-S5-100u.html?page=170 Use the following discussion to understand the preset value of your timers in the Step 5 program: https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/s5-timer-pv-value/12359/?page=0&pageSize=10 - MUL 16 and DIV 16 can be replaced by MUL_I and DIV_I in Step 7. So remove these lines of code when you convert the s5 program, insert the correct functions in Step 7 to replace them. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Chiku; First, have a look at azataazeta:s post (and link) in ths thread: https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf//WW/en/posts/s5-fb242-and-fb243/137077?page=0&pageSize=10 His screenshot shows the different parameters of Step 5 FB 242, you will find FB 243 in the link h provides. Now, compare these parameters to the Step 7 instructions MUL_I and DIV_I (in LAD) you will see how you can use the S5 parameters in the Step 7 instructions. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ao/en/view/109751823 For example, the FB 242 in your Step 5 program, the two multipliers are in DB 10, in DW4 and DW6 repectively. C DB10 opens DB 10, Z1= DW4, Z2= DW6. So write these these values down, delete the FB 242 call in the Step 5 program before conversion, , use MUL_I in the Step 7 program and insert the same values for the multiplication there.
