If yes then please let me know is there any technical issues(or you are facing problems)regarding these products.Also anybody who usesabove mentioned product could give me advice which one is the best optionto purchse. regards imran

If you just want to program over MPI you could easily use all three devices. But, as far as I know, the USB MPI Adaptor is the cheapest. If you want to do programming over MPI and PROFIBUS and you maywant to do some Communication over a OPC Server once in a while than you can use the CP 5512. If you want to do constant HMI Communication and you want to do programming once in a while over PROFIBUS or MPI than you should use the CP 5613. Maybe this will help you to decide. The USB/MPI-Adapter supports PROFIBUS and MPI up to 1,5 MBit The CP5512 supports PROFIBUS and MPI up to 12 MBit Standard speed for MPI is 187kBit. About 2 years ago I found out the USB-MPI-Adapter didn't work with SIMATIC NET. I don't know how it's today. It worked fine with Protool/Pro and Step7. For Standard users the USB-MPI-Adapter is the first choice. One note: the adapter must be connected to the CPU with a short (ca 20-30 cm) cable (comes with the adapter) . The USB cable (comes with the adapter too) is about 1,5 to 2m long.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hi, I am sorry to interrupt, but the USB MPI Adaptor was never released for SIMATIC NET. It can be read in all documents that only CP's are allowed to be used with SIMATIC NET, especially with PROFIBUS. I am sorry. J_Bell
