Hi, yes this configuration is possible. I know a setup like this from PCS 7 environment. There it is called redundant plant bus. The chapter 4.3.4.3 in this manual: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109485961 In the manual they call it "Redundant, fault-tolerant plant bus". But your configuration is not fault-tolerant because you have direct connections CPU0<-->CPU0 and CPU1<-->CPU1. But same rules apply to your requested configuration. To make your application fault-tolerant you can use following options:
Attention: To make a ring of Scalances at least one of them hast to support the ring manager functionality (RM) and at ONE switch per ring you have to activate this functionality. Regards |

Hi AutoGen_165478, Fault tolerant communication is possible if both partners are H systems!!!!!!!!!! Go to netpro and do following- 1. Add DP subnet (Profibus_1) for rack-0 CPU port of DP for both CPUs. 2. Add DP subnet (Profibus_2) for rack-1 CPU port of DP for both CPUs. 3. The profibus DP address for rack-0 & 1 for H system must be same. eg. 2- for H station 1 and 3 for H station-2. Now select any CPU and insert connection-select fault tolerant connection. After successful compilation, create user program with any comm. blocks eg. GET/PUT. Give connection address of this connection(eg. 1). It should solve ur problem. |
