SENTRON PAC 3200 is configured as shown in attachments. Which address should I pass to parameter "ID" of SFB 52?

Hello thed I'd use DW#16#2A8 in your case (=680 decimal which is the start input addressof your PAC 3200 DP Slave). I hope this helps |

Hello again thed I've done plenty of Siemens Drives, Simocode's and Softstarter related Data record read/writes and neverused the Diagnostic address thus far (I'd be interested to know thoughwhich drive manual states that the Diagnostic addressshallbe used, do you have a manual reference for this?). Having said that - andif memory serves me right -when I tested SFB52/53 (or SFC48/49) related Data record read/writes for the first time many many moons ago, any of the DP Slaves module start addresses would work (e.g. it didn't have to be the start address of the first I/O module in the DP Slave but could be the one of thesecond or third module etc.), so perhaps the Diagnostic address will work just as well. Should you have the chance to test this, please do so and let us know the outcome. Even it the Diagnostic addresswill work I wouldn't use it though as it is a somewhat "hidden" address and - unlike the modules I/O address - rarely user assigned/checked. Of course, this question needs experiments, but comissioning on the site will be in a few months, so I shall not can to say you promptly do daignostic addresses works as fine as input/output addresses for SFB 52. |

Thanks for the link thed, the example does indeed use a Diagnostic I/O address as the "ID"value for the SFB52/53 calls. Having said that, the dedicated "Parameter Access point" I/O moduleseemsonly applicable/available for Sinamics Drives with PROFINET interfaces (you won't find a "Parameter Access point"modulefor a Sinamics Drive with Profibus interface) andappears to be Siemensway of implenting aPROFIDrive compliant PROFINET interface for the Sinamics Drive. In this caseI don't even mind that a "Diagnostic" address is used as the "Parameter Access point" as Diagnostic addresses are visible in a seperate column together with the "normal" module I/Oaddresses when configuring a PROFINET device in HWconfig (unlike the "hidden" Diagnostic addresses of aProfibus device). That's all for now, looking forward to yourfeedback if and when you had a chance to do your SFB52 "ID" address value tests with your PAC 3200. |
