Sands Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	After installing Simatic NET evry time the PC is booted up, a service startswhich configures the PC as per settings in station configurator. This process take very long time. It is also not possible to access Start Menu unless the above process is finished. My question : Why it take so long and is there any provision to bypass this process when not required?

During that time it should be possibel to access the Start menu anyway, this is a bit strange I think. What Version of the SIMATIC NET Software are you using right now? Best regards J_Bell

juggernaut Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	Hi Sands, I don't know why it takes so long time, but i know how to bypass it. 1. pls check Windows:start>program>startup, delete "Station Configurator..." if you find that. 2. run regedit, then delete Stationmanager item in the following branch: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ 3. the easiest way: change the name of the file s7wnsmgx.exe as your will in the folder"..\Program Files\Common Files\Siemens\S7wnsmsx". 4. i think you know how to start it manaully. Good luck
