Making a backup Restore with WinCC Flexible 2008

HelloEvertonf, The Prosave software is used to take a backup and restore the application software without modifing any thing in that application software and under a condition of using the same part number of the panel. That means that you have to restore to TP170 A. I know that TP170A is obsolete, and if the Programmer of the TP170A did not marked the check box of back transfer, so you have to ask him about the original software and open it with WinCC flexible and change the device to TP177A. If you can not get the software, then you have to begin of programming the TP177A from scratch. Hope this helps.

It isn`t possible to change the device and restore the backup of a TP170A to a TP177A. For this you must convert the project from a TP170A to a TP177A with WinCC flexible (not possible if you have just a backup, you need the original project file). best regards.

Evertonf Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I bought a new HIM, because the 170A was discontinued, I can remake the backup HMI 170A, and restore in the HMI 177A with WinCC flexible. Regards.

You need original project in order to migrate it to TP177A. (As Sandman already said). Backup file isn't editable. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
