840D, ... MMC100 waiting for connection, . .without end

Mario.cnc.prog Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	After a welding job on the machine ( ***THE MACHINE WAS OFF* we do it many times a week alwaysMACHINE OFF**), machine refuse to start, 'Incorrect PLC version, ManualTurn cannot be loaded, when machine finish to boot 'alarm 2001 PLC not started'. I try to re-load only thePLC.ARC file but not succesfully, getting 'BUFFER error' on the communication log. I then try do do a general reset (S3-1), ..., but still same ting when attemp to reload NCK.ARC file, after this, I am lock on the black screen after the 'Partner found for communication' I have the MMC100 waiting for connection, with incremental second and that all, I am lock there. I try to puttS4 at 2 and putt machine on like specified somwhere in the furum without any change, If I press the '^' soft-key, I'm ask to : 1 enter new addresse for connection or '^' boot. Please help me here I realy need that machine on, We havetry to call Siemens Canada Service and Part toget a new PCMCIA card with the NCU software install and look for aNCU board for aRepair or aNew, We leave some messages, but again, no succes here, (today was a mess!!) Mario.cnc.prog Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	What solve my trouble is doing both General Reset on the NC and Complete Reset on the PLC, see attached files, thisresets all PLC SRam. Then read-in the NCK and then the PLC files. Attached is Zipped 840D pdf documents. Thanks to Ed Middleton of Siemens support for tech infoand to the CNC-Controle guy for big help! Hope this help!!
