Does the lock prevent me from seeing the contents? And how can I remove the lock and display it. Please excuse my lack of PLC knowledge as the programming is usually already done, and my task is the diagnosis! Simon Hi It seems that the FB4 is Know How protected and the only way to unlock it (as I know) is to have the original source. So the Pee suggestion to contact the machine manufacturer is the only reasonable one. Good luck Nit

Two things have been brought to mind. 1.Withone CNC OEM machine vendor,the reps. always advised that the password was cleared/cancelled (to stop what exactly I'm not sure - our CNC operators were fully trainned, and needed the password anyway, and the repsknew that)maybe a knee jerk reaction, and this could be a similar situation. E.G. clear the password after x minutes? As I said earlier only one vendor does this. There was one other vendorwho programmed the password to clear after a control off/on sequence; company policy? 2.Is FB4 the dedicated password block, or could the password functions be being carried out elsewhere, and how to find it? SimonB Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hi Pee, the manufacturers' password is fine. (SU****E). Its annoying more than anything else. EG if you are viewing the axis specific machine data and it times out you have to go back and reset it. It also needs to be set to use built in STEP7 Simatic Manager!?!
