Marcjan Diamond Member Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 3/31/2025 Posts: 5697 Rating: (716)	Hello, What cable (partnumber) and with what software you like to use this cable {name and version) Note: In SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.5 and other SIMATIC software products released for Windows 7, the required driver for the SIMATIC USB Prommer and the PC Adapter USB are part of SIMATIC Device Drivers. A separate installation of the drivers as before via the CD supplied together with the PC Adapter resp. USB Prommer is thus no longer necessary. Regards, Marcjan

PaleFlyer Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Assuming you have Step7 V5.5 installed already, and got it from a download on Siemens site, if you explore the file, there is a folder called CD_1, open that, then open STEP7, DISK1, S7SDD64. There is an exe, which will fail (the actual installer for S7 calls this) and an MSI called SIMATIC Device Drivers. The MSI is what you need.

low__rad Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I got a new Win 7 64 bit computer with Step7 v5.5 SP4(Professional 2010) and I bought this cable: Google for: Kommunikationsadapter USB - S7-MPI/PB Works like a charm on 300 and 400 series MPI and Profibus. Haven't tried it on S7-200 yet but I will. The Germatech page is in Swedish but maybe the cable can be found elsewhere in the world. =)
