Checking Network connections must be via normal windows connectivity but also via SIMATIC via SIMATIC Shell. Verify that on each computer (ES source of download) and OS (target of download) that SIMATIC Shell can 'see each other'. If SIMATIC Shell can not'see' the partner computer one would get the error your are seeing. (Note during the download the transfer or file copying occurs over Windows but the remote opening to adjust downloaded files occurs over SIMATIC, so both network's must be working properly). If SIMATIC Shell can't see each other make sure the terminal bus is selected on both computers via SIMATIC Shell Settings. Also, make sure the selected Terminal bus is at the top of the binding order (and if not set same but then have to re-boot for new binding order to take effect). Also, make sure user name and password are the same on both computers and have been properly assigned to Windows User Groups. Program 'SIMATIC Rights' can be run (while logged in as the user in question) to make the correct group assignment (program on PCS 7 DVD Toolset). Also, make sure user not assigned to multiple groups related to each other (like Administrator, Power User, User, etc.), if this is the case will default to lowest group (user in above list).
