mopS04 Posts: 5521 Rating: (1058)	hi, so you gut a solution by Domino_M to install a previous windows version, but you you update to the latest? Why? I also think you should try to install a pevious version of .NET-Framework. There are Problems already known. have a look to this FAQ: What are the incompatibilities between Windows and WinCC (TIA Portal)? I know it says WinCC, but have a try. If it doesn´t work, contact the Customer Support and start a Support Request. hope this helps, regards,

SylvainF Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, After getting in touch with siemens support, they told me that this was a know issue that could be fix with the hotfix #4 (aka step 7 v5.6.0.4). Tried it and it's working. Unfortunately they gave it to me by theire ftp and the link is tied to my account so I can't give it to you. I recommend you contact the support and ask for this hotfix ! AutoGen_7885143 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I had the same issue. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\Step 7\S&BIN Find the file S7tgtopx.exe, right click and select Properties. Under the compatibility tag select "Change settings for all users". Select "Run this program as an administrator". This solved my issue but opening the blocks folder still takes a long time. Hopefully someone will solve this soon. Mac

When I changed windows language from original installation language to another one, I have faced this problem. After I returned to original windows language problem solved. Step 7 Professional V5.6, Windows 10 Pro.
