Building an own Image with webserver

Hello,

I have a question - but maybe you guessed that already because I made a new topic.

I have succesfully built the image from the git code and testet it on my IOT2040, I got the same result as the demo image - so it works fine.

Now I want to add an webserver.

I used monkey, because it was the first one to show up in the google search.

I made everything like in this descripion: http://monkey-project.com/documentation/1.5/embedded/yocto.html

Except the test build -> the command bitbake was not found under debian.

Maybe is monkey not the right choise for me.

I need an webserver which supports html (yeah), php5 and thats about it. nothing fancy.

I am running nginx on my iot2040. I simply downloaded the tar-file nginx-1.11.3.tar.gx onto the iot2040, un-tarred and in the folder created: 

./configure
make
make install

nginx is just very flexible and works!

Okay. I wanted to test nginx and made all what you wrote in your post.

But I have no clue how to start the server. The doc is not very helpful.

Could you provide me the infos?

So I am back. I searched the whole forum and internet :-P for a solution, but I cant finde one.

Can someone provide an step by step tutorial how to add an new recipe like lighttpd to the siemens example? You only find outdated or uncomplete information about this.
