crvz Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to get the license for LOGO! soft comfort directly from Siemens through the web, instead of having it shipped (on a CD) through a distribution company. For the shipping takes up to 4-5 weeks... So if it is possible, please let me know so I can win 4-5 weeks of waiting... Thanks, C.

When i order it today i have it tuesday. The license is on the cd and not for download as far as i know. But to see if you can get it faster, please contact your local Siemens rep. And also the representation here is terrible. We have a Siemens direct representation but they told me that still buying through them we would need to make an account with them, and that it would take some days. BUUUUUUUUUUUUT it seems barely impossible to find the correct person to make a single little buy in Siemens in my country... Another question, is logo 8 still using soft comfort or is it true that it will use some kind of TIA Portal extension? Thank you. C.

Why don't you download the demo version and start develloping an testing in simulation while waiting for the full version. The only restriction is ,yuo can' t download to the Logo. I think logo 8 will come with logosoft 8, not as a addon toTia. Regards, Marcjan

The problem is that the finance guys from where I work at, they waited till now to ask for the license money. Thanks again. Guess I´ll be around for further possible questions. C.

Once again, thanks people. My friend, I feel your pain. May I throw my 2c in there? Engineering has more to do with people than designs. Go to your Siemens contact and have a civil chat with him. This situation is not your fault. This situation is not his fault. BUT if he has any sense of good business he will make a plan for you. Ask him if there is a way for you to get something on loan or maybe he can load the PLC for you if you bring it to him. No need for you to make promises of buying millions of product.. but if you place your order for the software and you talk to him, I am sure he'll do the business sensible thing to make of you a satisfied regular customer. [wink] you can tell him you are already hooked on the briliant service you get via this Siemens User Forum. I will WANT to be a regular user of Siemens products. [smile] okay? okay! good luck!! w

Of course once we have proved that we have requested the cd and that we are paying for it. And indeed, the service here through the forums is quite nice! You all are way too kind!
