Hi mark1507, 1. Create CMT and drag the blocks to the editor 2. Drag "PV" of PIDConL to CMT editor under the PIDConL block 3. Change attribute "Tag type" from signal to parameter 4. Drag "PV_Out" of the Pcs7AnIn block and "PV_Li" of the AnIn block to the corresponding block in the editor 5. Connect one of the outputs of the driver block to "PV" 6. Now select and drag the other output of the driver block IN THE EDITOR to PV IN THE EDITOR. See attachment |

Hi mark, It looks you dragged "PV" under CM. You need to insert it one level lower-> Drag "PV" under PID... Let me know if it worked.... PS: My version is still CFC V9.0 SP1. SP2 gave me trouble with SFC types... After changing a SFC type, I could not do AS compile changes, because errors occurred. After full AS compile everything is good. I contacted Siemens Support and they updated SP2 with a new update, but did not test it. |

Hi, Hmmm that is strange... You are working in the master library right? What happens if you insert the PIDConL from the AP library? Is yours changed somehow? |

Mark, You can try a backup to see if there are changes made to the block..maybe try to create a new CMT and use a different object like a Valve or something...

Hi mark, What I mean was creating a backup of your multiproject and check if updating block type helps: using the PIDConL from the AP library... But since another object has the same problem, I don't think this helps... I'll look into it, I cannot believe it is a bug, maybe I will try to install SP2 and check if my version still works... |

Hi Oreca, thanks for your effords! Do you have already the SP2 as a DVD? I only used the SP2 from this entry. I only installed "PCS 7 Engineering System Collection V9.0 SP2" itself, not all the other stuff wich is also available there. I need to be carefull with updating because it's a big project where plenty other vendors are creating PCS7 software for. Can't go up allone. Agreeing with all others to update takes time I actually don't want to waste. At least not if I don't know an update will solve my problem. This is just a background information. I opened an SR...let's see what comes out there... Best regards, Mark |
"Expert" does not necessarily mean Siemens employee. Please cross-check your requirements always with official Siemens documentation. Also "Experts" are pleased about feedback. Please don't send support requests as PM. Questioners who don't follow up their thread will be put to my list of users to be ignored. |

Hi mark, I also installed the engineering toolset from the update page. I installed this update when it came online, but had problems with it. They said they fixed the problems with update 1, but did not solve the issue. Afterwards they created update 2 but I did not test it anymore. The last 2 years I have been very careful updating Siemens software. I've created at least three support requests because of it... But back to topic.. Good that you created a SR. I hope I have some time this week to update my PC with new version. I have to create an image first. Let me know how Siemens reacts on your problem.

Pffff, again problems in new updates of PCS7! It scares me how many mistakes are made the last few years. Thanks for the update! |
