I tried with S7 fault tolerant connection, got some errors. Why both my H Stations should be under the same project?is it because it has communicate with each other or for establishing s7 connection between them or is it possible to communicate even if i develop both projects seperately Attachmentnetpro.zip (153 Downloads) |

The configuration is ok with the s7 connection but since you asked me to go with s7 fault tolerant, I tried. |

You can go for S7-connection S7-Fault Tolerant will come into picture if you are having 2- CPs in one PC( I think in your case its not there) |

Hi Sindhu Normally you have additional software do be programmed if you are using a S7 connection. The requirement is that you want to continue to communicate when PLC1 CPU1 is working with PLC2CPU1 and then suddenly PLC1 CPU1 fails and switches over to PLC1CPU2, the communication should go on.Fault tolerant connection can do the switch automatically and the PLC2CPU1 will have not face any communication interruption. This is because when this happens the CP443 automatically handles the switchover. But it does not do any such thing with a S7 connection. So you will have to ensure that the S7 connection from one CPU to the other CPU takes place in your programme. About your CPs , I guess I was not clear. You need 1 CP for each CPU and that means for 2 redundant systems total of 4 CPs (which is exactly what you have for in your configuration). It is upto you to configure what communication based on your requirements. There are no rulesWe are trying to help you. Best way to go about this isyou test how the system is working the way you set it up. If you are happy with it go with it. Otherwise have a look inside the forum tohelp you to get it running. Krish |

hi find the attachment, which is having a only 1 CP 443-1 having a fault tolerant connection. i think the CP which you are using is having not a fault tolerant faclility. but the connection which i have given in attachment is having a facility. it is allow the generate the fault tolerant connection & the benifit is that whenever any cp will fail it will automaticlly switchover to other cp, but in case of TCP connection it is not possible. regards Attachmentuntitled.zip (108 Downloads) |

Hi Sindhu The problem is what I have been telling all the time. You have no connections coming out from the CP443. I have markedwhere they are missingin your configuration and where it is "Eastern"´s configuration. Krish Attachmentkriscomment.zip (135 Downloads) |

HI I got the problem in your CP, you have not given a MAC address to your PN-IO, after giving a MAC address to your all CP, You will be able to generate the fault tolerant connection.but your MAC address should be different for all four cp.... it will work.... find the attachment.. What should be connected to LADDR input of AG_LSEND and AG_LRECV since its an S7 fault tolerant connection. Im trying to follow the program in this link https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=18513371&caller=view. Should i call this block(AG_LSEND and AG_LRECV)in the other H station also ? AttachmentLADDR.zip (100 Downloads) |
