This is a windowsd user group which was created from the Setup of TIA. Go to Windows Control Panel -> Adminstrative tools -> Computer Management -> users and groups -> groups Open the SIMATIC HMI Group and check if the user is member of this group. Regards Christoph

I have added my pc user to the SIMATIC HMI GROUP in windows (Computer Management > Local Users and Groups > Groups) but when I try to compile my project I still get the error: "Compilation not possible. The current user does not belong to the "SIMATIC HMI" group." I also added Administrator user to the SIMATIC HMI GROUP and ran TIA Portal as administrator and still no luck. Anyone have any other ideas why this isn't working? Windows 10; TIA Portal V16. I upgraded the project from V15.1 to V16. Thanks.

mmckay Posts: 247 Rating: (65)	After adding your user to SIMATIC_HMI, did you log out of WIndows then log back in? Windows takes a flash-view of your group membership when you log in - it doesn't recognize changes to your group membership until you log out then back in again.
