Dear 7amada, I think rather then communicate an HMI to PC (with labview) you shilud directly communicate labview using an OPC to an OPC server which can communicate to PLC directly. There are so many OPC servers in market which has siemens channel for siemens PLC. I have a doubt of labview directly communcate to HMI database. OPC would be a simple opetion and easy to diagnose in case of communication break. Regards. |

Dear 7amada, In this case you can do one thing. In TP 177B PN/DP RS -422 or RS-232 is available or not please check out then you can use this ports to connect with Labview via Modbus protocol. Then get data from that to PLC via Profibus. In this case you may have to use RS-232 to RS-485 converter for PC. |
