Hello nanusevski; If you want to connect single-bus DP slaves to a redundant S7-400H system, you have to use a Y-Link, as you can see in the attached document. However, 2 points: 1- you do not have to use a single Y-link for every slave; you can group slaves "behind" a Y-Link until you reach a maximum amount of data that can be exchanged with a single DP slave, that is 244 bytes OUT and 244 bytes IN. This is also shown in the same document. 6ES7197-1LA11-0XA0: Y-Link bundle Design The Y-Link comprises: § Two IM153-2 interface modules § One Y-Coupler § One BM IM/IM bus module § One BM Y-Coupler bus module Snapped on mounting rails for setup with active bus modules. Configuration options and limitations A redundant PROFIBUS DP master system can be extended by means of Y-Links in the following way § The number of Y-Links on a redundant DP master system is only limited by the maximum number of stations. The maximum number of connectable slaves depends on the length of the user data and configuration message frames. The total length of each may not exceed 244 byte (see slave technical specifications). Generally, the following applies: § max. 64 stations in the lower-level DP master system § max. 236 slots in the lower-level DP master system § Y-Link configuration and user data message frames comprise message frame contents of the lower-level slaves. Therefore, the maximum message frame length is 244byte. § Direct communication and equidistance not possible in the lower-level master system 6ES7153-2AR03-0XA0: Redundant IM 153-2 DP slave SIMATIC DP, ET200M-RED.-BUNDLE CONSISTING OF TWO IM153-2HF (-2BA02) AND ONE BUSMODULE IM/IM 6ES7195-7HD10-0XA0 You would also need one bus module 6ES7195-7HB00-0XA0 for every pair of I/O module in the active backplane.
