Seelmann Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello, I can search for and find my PLC in the download to... section, and I can even turn on the LEDs from my PC! But when I try to download the software/hardware, this error pops up. [snip] ............ How can this be, given that my PC clearly can establish a connection with the PLC? You should get a popup confirmation. Then click on "Program Blocks" and download to device. Any errors, please post pictures of them.

Other situation after this success find can be if PC establish connection to PLC. If you absolutely sure that your PLC and PC are at same Subnet with IPs try ping that PLC or use ARP command to look devices on subnet (try help on web how to use it). With this command you see all devices with IPs on momentary subnet. Pls try this and give info.

Why do you configure a Gateway adress? Do you have a Gateway or a direct connection between PLC and PC? And : Which PLC with which FW do you use? Which TIA Version do you use ?

Therefore system must create another IP, but it's failed. hmmmm like you don't have Admin rights???? Don't understand... This is set in instalation that system can add this.

If you have a direct connection between the PLC and the PC then you should not configure any router or Gateway address! only IP and Subnet. Regards Christoph

I was able to recreate all of the errors you posted except the one in this post. All of the other ones had to do with IP range, Subnet or router, One of them was due to windows defender but this one I spent literally hours and have no clue what causes it : "Failed to establish connection with the device with address 192.168.0.1. An additional project-specific IP address is required" I don't know what that mean. But just to cover all the bases, turn off the firewall, anti-virus and windows defender. What windows version are you using? Do you have anything else connected to the PCI card or is it just on port?

Casemiro14 Posts: 4 Rating: (1)	I had the same problem and this is how I solved it. I went to accessible devices and searched for any accessible device. With the IP address that was found, I configured the IP address of the port to the same IP address (See Picture1). Once that was done, I configure the IP address of the PC within the range. (See Picture2). Then, go Online, and search for any compatible devices and you should be able to connect!!! Hope this helped!!! Attachment Picture.PNG (1612 Downloads)

Is it direct connected or some Switch /Router/Gateway between? You see that the Engineering only find the device with the Adress 192.168.0.1, not with 192.168.0.7! You can try the "Extended Download to device" and enter the IP direct in the adress field so that TIA use this IP for the Download and the Connection. Regards Christoph

In PRONETA Settings, select your Network adapter, after that go to the "Network Analysis", serch for you PLC and Set the new/old IP, set a Subnet Mask and a Gateway. In your TIA project, set the same Network config that you set in the PRONETA Also check that your network adapter has the same Gateway and also the same SubnetMask. Obviously all the previous comments regarding the adjustment of IP's in the same subnet are fundamental, but there is a detail (simple but fundamental) that I did not find in forums and that TIA Portal does not inform. At least in this message it is difficult (I would say impossible) to discover: "Connection Failed- The selected online target could not be reached". You must enter the transfer menu, and select the connected interface because, I don't know why, MTP's come by default with the X2 interface selected. You should probably be trying to download it on the X1 interface which is profinet and is connected directly to your system. It also needs to be on this screen for the first transfer. Have you used the online access option from the Project tree to connect to the PLC and see what version of TIA portal is required to connect to it? OhReally?
