evening i have been tasked of creating a little program for a conveyor system: the conveyor will be using a vsd to start and stop and have a pulse counter on the sprocket that will pulse approx 6 pulses per second and on the count of 21 pulses i need the vsd to stop then after a time carry on until the next 21 pulses (this is because they are placing something on the conveyor) now i i think i have written it correctly, just need someone to look at it and tell if its correct and if not point me in the correct way( dont tell me because i need to learn) please ignore the other parts of the program because that is still being worked on. conveyor details if needed are: Conveyor has a 0.55 kW motor At 50 Hz - 9.5 m/min movement speed The toothed sprocket is 125 mm dia, 15 teeth. The attachment is okay. The lsc file can be opened with LSC V8.1 and V8.2. |

Hi personally I think you would be better off in this situation with a more mechanical/reliable solution. i suggest you look at an indexing gearbox. Such as the type in this link. http://www.cdsindexers.com/indexing-oscillating-reciprocating-drives/ip-series.php These are adjustable and will not be affected by a stop being pressed, the motor will also not suffer with undue strain to the continuous speed variations. nigel |
