Hello RSid; The integrated inputs of the CPU 314IFM are 24 VDC inputs that can also be used with integrated technological functions, such as frequency metering. So i would start by applying and removing 24 VDC to inout I126.0, validate with a VAT table if the input changes accordingly. You can use any M pin as ground. If this works, i would check the wire used for the frequency meter (it must be shielded) and the connections, based on this screenshot from the following manual: http://www.kntu.ac.ir/dorsapax/userfiles/file/Electrical/az-plc/S7314IFM.pdf Tell us the results. Hello RSid; The image you showed earlier was done with Step 7 v5.x, and you seem to have been able to open the CPU 314IFM program. The CPU model can be chnged in HWConfig (while retaining the program blocks) to prepare the download to a new CPU. You can use this software to upload from a S7-300 and S76-400 CPU, and download to the same PLC families. If you do not have a similar CPU 314IFM, I suggest you look for a compact S7-300 (S7-314C-2DP, for example), since they also have integrated I/O and technological functions (counting, frequency metering,...) so you could more easiily adapt the application. Hello RSid; I am searching for a delicate way to say this; this is all I found: there are no magic wands in automation. You are replacing CPUs, and the CPUs are from different generations and design. Therefore you must expect: - the addressing of the integrated I/O will be different; - the technological functions will use different SFBs in both families pf processors: the frequency meter in the CPU 314IFM calls SFB 30; the frequency meter in the CPU 31C-2DP uses SFB 48. So yes, plan on reconstructing your Hardware Configuration, rewiring your intergated I/Os, rebuilding your program using the new SFBs for the S7-31xC family of processors and reprogramming the new SFB Calls to match your application.
