Current controller PI value access with G120 and PM230-P

I am trying to teach myself how to tune the kp ki values for Sinamics G150 drive with a CU320-DP control unit. I don't have access to the CU320-DP yet only have a G120 drive with CU-230P. 

I'm trying to setup speed control encoderless operation. 

I noticed on the CU230 controller I am unable to change the kp ki values for the current controller. I can access the speed controller values and changes these but not the current controller values. 

Why is this? Does the drive tune the current controller for me?

Why is it allowed for CU320 but not CU230?

G120 vs S120, or general purpose vs special purpose -- my interpretation is not necessarily the real reason.  The CU230 is not a high speed VFD like the CU320.  It scans the motor model parameters and inputs much slower than the CU320, so the current loop is slower.  Messing around with inner loop parameters is likely to cause problems because the motor model in the CU230 does not perform a lot of cross-checks because it does not need to - because they are not typically user accessible.

That is a design choice made to allow using less expensive components and provide a less computationally capable VFD.  The G120 Control Units still do a good job at motor control, but do not act nearly as fast to change as the S120 Control Units.
