i am developing a project with TIA V17 and CPU 1515F-2 PN.

Every time i enable the monitoring of an FB or FC appears the warning:

The cycle time may increase. (0601:000044)

Do you want to continue monitoring?

The longest cycle time measured of the cpu is 28.6 ms.

I have worked with cpu with higher cycle time without any warning...

Is there a parameter that can be set for this warning?

I think think message comes always when you go online, without any dependency on the actual load of the CPU.

Dropping my 2c in the ring.

What the regular scan cycle time is does have in influence on when the message triggers. The triggering of the message looks at the percentage increase of the scan time.

For a small process, this message triggers regularly and at inconvenient times. Scrolling through a code block can trigger the message even if you already acknowledged the message 3 seconds ago. Watching code online becomes troublesome.

In my opinion there should be some change in the rules of this message's trigger. The percentage scale rule does only function when the scan cycle is more than {x}ms. Up to {x}ms the message triggers when the increase is more than {y}ms.

This rule might need to be configurable in the TIA Portal options as some people do run fast processes on the CPU that is critical.

The problem appears to be cpu firmware version 2.9. After I downgraded the cpu to version 2.8 the message never showed up again.

 Three posts above yours, is a link to a Siemens document about this, and it states that from Firmware 2.9.2, there has ben made changes to the detection thresholds to generate this alarm.
