Try the attached programs, they will work, if the network setup of your program is okay. I only use NAI, NAQ as local memory for Modbus, therefore i also don't need a network diagram. This works fine for years and for me it is recommend, because i mostly use ladder. Compare your version with my 2 versions and try them out with your Modbus server. There is no need to be dependent on a S7 license, you can download some alternative communication utilities for different processors for free. Look on the page of Snap7, there is a Step7 Open Source Ethernet Communication Suite for C++, Pascal, Python, Java and also for Arduino (Settimino). I have not used it up to know, but i am planning for the future to write some small utilities with Pascal. With settimino it should be possible to write your own client or server with the S7 protocol. Maybe this is an option for you ? Regards, Scorp |

The easiest way for this is a threshold trigger and an arithmetic block, see attached example. Maybe you want expand it with additional conditions like checking for lost connection, if possible.
