Hello PL; You seem to have omitted a few connections; look at the screenshot below. This wiring diagram is taken from the s7-300 Module data manual; a very useful document if you use it properly: Look for your module in the chapter on Digital Modules . S7-300 Module data - Industry Support Siemens First, module power: you have correcly assigned 24 VDC to pin 10, GND to pin 20; Next, power to each bank of 8 channels: you can apply 24 VDC (or 24 VAC, or 120 VAC, or even 230 VAC...) between pins 1 (power) and 9 (N)for the top 8 channels and pins 11 (power) and 19 (N)for the bottom 8 channels. Next, connecting output 0 and output 7on the top 8 channels, as shown ibelow; you connect one side of our load to pin 2,(channel 0) and the same for pin 9 (channel 7) and connect the other side of the loads together with the GND of the power supply of the top 8 channels. Repeat for all other channels used in that bank. Next, connecting outputs 0 and 7 of the bottom 8 channels as shown below, you connect one side of your load to pin 12 (channel 0) and the same for pin 19 (channel 7), and connect the other side of your loads together with the GND os the power supply of the bottom 8 channels. repeat for all other channels used in that bank. If you monitor the LEDs r a VAT table you should see the relays become active when you command the correct addresses in your program. hi, WTF! did you have a look to the wiring and block-diagramm dchartier shared with you??? do you understand how to read it? did you understand what dchartier wrote? If you have wired like you wrote, with ground on pin 2&7, you will have a short circuit when channel 1 and 5 are on. May I ask you, if you have had an electrical education? This is from the module manual:
If you are not qualified for wiring those modules, do your hands off it. If you have the proper technical schooling, take a look on the diagramm again: -The only ground is on pin 20. -Then you need 24 V DC at pin 10. -On pin 1 and pin 11 connect the source for the relais-outputs. -pin 2-9 and 12-19 are the outputs. hope this helps, regards, |
