chicken, If I understand your first post correctly, you are using feedback for valveopen/close that are low when in position. In other words, if the valve is closed, then the CLOSED feedback is FALSE. The VALVE control block expects to have the CLOSED feedback is TRUE when the valve is is closed. If this is the case, then you can invert the feedback signals going into the VALVE control block. See attached JPG with inverted feedback. If you just want to disable the monitoring on the faceplate, you can do this by setting the NOMON_CL and NOMON_OP parameters TRUE on the VALVE block. These parameters default as invisible normally, so you will have to check them in the Object Properties of the block. You can find more information in the PCS7 Standard Library V7.1 manual. Hichicken, What you need to do is as NickM said you have to invert the feedback but this some times generate alarms because the block generates an error whenever it moves because both feedbacks will generate a one signal when the valve is not in the position. What you should do is make a delay logic like the one shown in the attach picture and connect the feedback directly to this logic and the output of this logic should be inverted and then connected to the valve block feedback inputs. Hichicken, If I understand you correctly then, when your valve is in monitoring fault then it shows a close position, right? If that is the case then you feedback monitoring time is less increase it because when you close the valve it does close but after the monitoring time. This is a standard function and it does make sense. The valve will always display its position and the monitoring fault will be displayed by a small 's' on the block icon and the faceplate. If you still want the valve to show the fault and not the status then you have to edit the block icon and the faceplate. What you need to do is open the @PG_valve_standard.pdl (if you are usgin standard faceplate) in the WinCC operator station and add a new valve picture (or copy) with the color you want for the fault status and use the .QMON_ERR tag in the property 'display'.
