Hi,

I will like to make back transfer by using WinCC flexible RT.

I have TP177B-DP/PN Panel, but didn't have the original program.I know that I can make back transfer by using WinCC flexible,but couldn't found the "SAVEDATA.PDZ(project file)" for back transfer.But the TP177 is phase out and I want to change to TP700.I don't have original program, how can I do change the program to TP700?

Some one said can be done by using WinCC flexible RT?

Please kindly guide me step by step.

what exactly you need? What would you do?

If only create a RT with Backtransfer data then create a project with WinCC Flex RT start the transfer and set the backtransfer option.

 You can only make a back transfer for the project and edit it if only back transfer option was sewlected by the programmer.steps can be found here:

I know that not possible to do backtransfer without stored project file(pdz,SAVEDATA.PDZ)on HMI.

But Siemens should provide some solution for discontinued product to able to do that for in-case project file lost or other reasons.

Just suggestion with hopes.

 Hello Dany,

If you installed a memory card in your panel, you can store on it the project and then edit it again in future or even change the device if your panel became obsolete.

If you stored the project on your PC, you can do the same.

What you are talking about or asking Siemens to do is to make a tool or find a way to convert the compiled image file into a project again for further modifications. If it possible, we all will be glad, but the easier way is to ensure that you are storing your projects on your PC.

The third party programmer downloaded the program to HMI without enabling backtransfer option.Please tell me how you restore again the project to MMC card or PC with this condition?

In this case (if the programmer doesn't have the original project of the Panel and for old Panels, the only way is to take a backup image using prosave. and download it to another panel with same part number.

Siemens sell these old panels for arround 10 yrs after dicontinouation announcement. Or another option is to buy these old panels online. There are some companys sells these old products.
