Dear all, I am having a G120 drive with PM250 for 5.5 kW chain Conveyor application... Drive is tripping on DC over voltage fault. Need to know what are all the parameters need to be set for regenerative application? How to know whether the drive is actually regenerating or not? Control mode is V/F linear. Is there any issue if we use line reactor with regenerative drives? Will it allow sudden rise in line side? |

Hello, the PM250 can deal with regenerative power up to an equivalent of nominal HO power. In V/f the torque is calculated by the drive. So regenerative operation should be indicated by an negative torque. But the PM250 requires a pretty stiff supply (RSC>100) and line reactors mustn`t be used on it. Dear all, Our application is Drag chain conveyor. Motor is 7.5KW. PM250 ( 6SL3225-0BE27-5AA1) CU240E-2DP is used. V/F control mode is used. P640 is 21A. P290 is 2 ( Reduce I_output or f_output and f_pulse (not using I2t)) Sometimes current limiting controller active alarm is coming. Current is reaching limit as per trend also. Sometimes at the same time drive is tripping in DC overvoltage fault and sometimes not tripping. What may be the reason? Please find the current trend and alarm history in attachment. Hello, with a line reactor you won`t meet the necessary line connection requirements of the PM250 anymore. The regenerative power is limited to the value of r206[2]. So make sure that the current peak doesn`t lead to a regenerative load more than 7.5 kW. Maybe onsite support is the fastest way to solve the issue. https://w3.siemens.com/aspa_app/?lang=en |
