Encoder emulation

I want to emulate the position of a virtual axis in Simotion to an encoder emulating output of a TM41.
What is the right procedure to get this position on the encoder emulation output of TM41?

Hi David,

put the TM41 in "SIMOTION (0)" working mode.

Click on the encoder properties and set the resolution that you need (i.e.: 2048/11/0).

In the telegram settings ( Sinamics Integrated) check that you have selected Telegram 3.

And now, the most important thing: in the virtual axis that you have created, click on "Actor" and select the TM41. And check that in the encoder settings you have the same resolution of the one declared previously, in the TM41 settings.

Now if you manually run the virtual axis then you will see the TM41 generating the corresponding pulses.
