Error 80C8 in Modbus TCP

VSalas Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi I Have a CPU s71214 V4.1 I download a example "Modbus_TCP_S7-1200_V13" I test this example with 2 PLC S71214 and Work Perfect but when i conect with other system I Have a error 80C8 This error is timeout in CLIENT respond I make this test Other Client.- PC with software Modbus Other Server.- Device with IP 10.136.55.34 Siemens Client,- CPU S71214 with MB_Client Block and IP 10.136.55.38 Siemens Server.- CPU S71214 With MB_Server Block and IP 10.136.55.34 Other Client Vs Other Server Work OK Siemens Client VS Siemens Server Work OK Other Client VS Siemens Server Work OK Siemens Client Vs Other Server NO Work No Work In My opinion the time to trigger error 80C8 is Short but I don't Know Where Change the Value How i can to change the Time ?

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (324)	Hello VSalas, MB_Unit_ID and RECV_TIMEOUT (this is the time the FB waits for the response) are static variables in the Modbus instance DB. Just use the online help or the manual to find the description. Regards, Kaulquappe

DmBil Member Joined: 1/14/2021 Last visit: 10/19/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I have the same problem. I also tied to change MB_Unit_ID, but it did not help. Still Error 80C8. But i am using older version of MB_Client V3.1. May be there is here some additional trics? The connection and operation through ModBUS Poll is OK!!!! CONNECTION_TYPE - 17 in this MB_Client V3.1 Is it OK? What else can help?
