Hello LaraCroft I'm going out on a hunch here, but I wonder if you have used "Topology View" in TIA Portal and connected the CPU and HMI with a nice looking "green line"? If so, the easy fix is to delete this green line in "Topology View" (note that this will NOT affect "Network View"), compile and download and your SF will go away. If you want to keep and use Topology features, please read up on how to do so and what to look out for in the TIA Portal online help (I can't see the need for topology configuration as you only have a PLC and HMI directly connected with a patch cable). I hope this helps |

Never mind. I actually tried again downloading via "Extended downloaded to device" and it worked this time. Thanks all of you. |

Hi guys, I am facing the same issue. Error message: Module exists. Error Error in lower-level component Additional information for the module: Differences were found between the loaded configuration and the offline project. Online article number: 6SL3 040-1MA01-0AA0 Offline article number: 6SL3 040-1MA01-0AAx I just couldn't understand why does the last unit "0" vs "x" can caused me this error. So I am using S7-1211C ver4.2 with Sinamics S120-CU320-2-PN ver4.8 I had downloaded and installed the latest Profinet-IO gsd file (gsd v2.34 s120-cu3x) I had tried extended download, hardware download only, software download only but nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions? Much help will be appreciated. Thanks AttachmentError Lower-Level Component.zip (659 Downloads) |

I selected the online article number's part #, then right-click and selected "search online". This link came up: https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/problem-with-simulation-in-plcsim-cpu-314c-2-pn-dp/143857

We have the same issue with an s7-1212C 6eS7-212-1AE40-0XB0. with a network of 5 ET200S im 151-8 pn/dp cpu,s with an remote i/o station and HMI On 4 of the 5 ET200 modules and HMi we have an "error in lower level component". The diagnostic view is empty Module exits, ok. In the diagnostic buffer are no messages wich refer to this error. We already tried extended download to device on al plc's No compiling errors/and 1 warning wich says "does not contain a configured protection level" In the attach some pictures. I hope somebody can give a solution thanks in advance Attachmenterror in lower level component.docx (590 Downloads) |

Just follow the path of the network cable which you can find in topology view. |
