Hello LOGO-friends, the filtering topic is complex. unfortunately the LOGO (unlike devices of other manufacturers) has no (independent of the cycle frequency) a function "filter" and no possibility to memory (analog) values and to call up the values again. The retention of values would be to program the prerequisite, however, around digital filters for analog signals. Nevertheless the circuit design of Hänninen has the effect of a low-pass-filter. For a general utilization, I want to explain this, want to present an own circuit design (01_Low_Pass_Filter.zip) and keep on wanting to continue the filtering and/or smoothing of the input signal (02_Mean_Value_of_analog_Inputs.zip). The Attachment "Examples_of_analoge_filters.zip" included this files. The circuit of Hänninen and also the example of SIEMENS to the definition and retention of Minimal and Maximal value of an analog input (MinWert_MaxWert_Speicherung.lsc) transfer an analog value into a counter. whose value corresponding and changeing the count according to the change of the analog value. The maximum speed for that is determines through the cycle frequency fz of the LOGO (that varies from program to program) and the value is 0,5 * fz in the ideal case. Because the rate of change of the analog signal can be much higher, the technique has unavoidable as "secondary effect" the effect of a low-pass-filter.

Hello Hänninen and Betel, Please find my logo sketch attached with this message. I tried to stick Mr. Betel's first logo sketch with my sketch and the result is, B010 is not compatable with my B003 and B004. My question is how can I connect my scheme with one of your scheme. Hello Mr. Betel, Thank you once again for your assistance. I followed your instructions. (I assumed here that everything to the right of B010 in your circuit diagram is part of your simple filter. Therefore I didnt do anything with it. I just changed the AI1 to AI2 as I have this channel connected to my sensor in my loop and it was easier to change this than to remove the wire from AI2 and stick in AI1 in the middle of 10s of wires already sticking to my logo). I doesn't seem to work or am I understanding wrong here. I am fluid mechanics guy and this is my first stunt with automation for the past 1 month (just a small intro about me).
