Firmware upgrade Compact Flash Card CU320?

Odin Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi there, I hope you can help me out on this one. Whe have a service project with several G130+CU320. One of the Compact Flash cards is missing so we ordered a new one, firmware V02.06.02.03. To get a uniform project I would like to upgrade the old cards V02.05.01.05 to the firmware version of the new card. Is this possible? If so, what is the best way to do this. Thx, Odin

Copy all the files and save them. Take the old CF cards and repeat. (Just as a back up) Delete the files off the old cards and replace with a copy of the files off the new card. Replace the CF card back into the CU. The drive will automatically upgrade the firmware of the drive click components indicated by the flashng LEDs. When complete, power cycle the drive click components. It's that easy. If the projects are not the same, replace the "User Data" with the original folder.

Odin Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Harware version of the CU320 is F. So that should be ok. I know that the Hardware will update to the version of the Compact Flash. That's why I want to update the older Compat Flash to the new one. Just copy the user files will not work as the functionality is not identical. So I want to upgrade the Compact Flash and then insert into the CU320 and load the project with starter. Hope this makes it a bit more clear.

Or the other way is to leave the user data alone and just download to the unit when the firmware is complete. There may be an issue with downloading as your project will be a v2.5 but the hardware will be v2.6. I'm not 100% on this. It may alow you or you may have to do a conversion.

I had 11 CF cards I wanted to upgrade to v2.6 however the 2.6 card I have is set as S120 and wont accept an online connection as a G130. So I did a copy from the v2.5 G130 card to the v2.6 card and it now behaves like a G130 v2.5. So I now have the identical versions, just have to lower te versions of the drives in my project now... Any smart way to do this besides delete it in HW config and add a new drive with lower version? Can't find an option to lover the device version in the HW config of the existing drives. Odin Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Allright, got it all up and running on v2.5. Made a cope of the v2.5 card and loaded it onto the v2.6 card so all 12 CF cards have the same version. Changed all the drives in the hardware config from v2.6 to v2.5, loaded it into a test setup and worked like a charm. Thx for the help.
