1.You have to place the CPU 414H in the CPU properties as a Failsafe CPU, you have to give in a pasword by the protection-TAB and if you do that, the CPU could be hooked as a Failsafe CPU. 2. Thenyou need to place some F-Modules in the hardware, if you placed them, please parametrize them then as F-Moduls. 3. If you have done the things above then you have to compile the hardware. 4. Then open a new CFC-chart and place in that CFC chart the module-drivers of the F-I/O you have and put them on a F-I/O point that is declared in the hardware. 5. When you done that you could compile the chart and it will (if the software is installed) compile the channeldrivers automatically and after that you could use the Failsafe I/O in your logics.... 6. Please consider that you only make one runtimegroup !! 7. If you want to know more about CFC, then please look in the handbook of CFC that is installed with CFC. You didn't need Distributed Safety (it won't work withy a H-System). Hello, Let me tell you what I have acomplished until now: 1. How to as a failsafe CPU? 6ES7 414-4HJ04-0AB0 /V4.0 "Redundant and fail-safe capable, work memory 0.7MB code and 0.7MB of data; 0.08 ms/1000 instructions; 8KB DI/O; 32 connections; 1*DP/MPI, 1*DP and 2 receptacles for H Sync modules; firmware V4.0" - description for TAB - Properties in STEP 7. I could only set in Protection level TAB a password, and , set the "CPU cantain safety program". Anything else? I have to mention that the system in placed in STEP7 as a H System. 2. About placing F_MODULES: The system is made up of 2xCPU 414-4H, redundant (fiber-optik link), 3x Y-link and 3 x ET200S islands. The 3 ET200S islands contains: 6ES7 134-4GB01-0AB0 (2AI 2 WIRE ST) 6ES7 138-4CB11-0AB0 (POWER MODULE) 6ES7 132-4BF00-0AA0 (8DO DC24V/0.5A) 6ES7 131-4BF00-0AA0 (8DI DC24V) and 6ES7 138-4FA03-0AB0 (4/8F-DI DC24) 6ES7 138-4FB02-0AB0 (4F-DO DC24V/2A) About these last modules (F_modules), I haveparametrized them as 1oo1, internal sensor supply, and set for each one the DIP switch according to HW config. Is it more to parametrize this type of F_module ? I don't have an option the select a standard or fail-safe function. 3. I have downloaded the HW config in the H system, and is ok; H is working; I coud even make some code for std modules also forced them to see the LED on/off). For F_modules, if I force the system goes in STOP - error (all red LED). 4. About the CFC chart, I tryed to follow the example in the manual ZEn32_01_FSystem_FProj, and use driver functions F_CH_BI (for DP). "Generate module drivers" is activated, still I get errors. TheHW is configured for the F_I/O used, still the message is strange to me (CFC_error1). Is there more to be configured? I have about 30 F_DI and30 F_DO that must be interconnected with a logic. Must the logic be made up only in F block and linked in CFC, or can I make all the logic in CFC (I thinkit's harder). Dear Late, Regarding an older post on this forum placed by me, I was asking you about configuring a system with a H station, Y link and ET200S. I am using Step 7 V5.4. CFC V6.1 S7 F Systems V6.0. Please if you have the possibilty to look over my HWCONFIG. The system is allready build exactely, powered up (redundancy between PLC is working), I can acces standard I/O, but no F_I/O. Regardin this configuration of S7-400H with redundant DP, Y-link and ET200S with standard and fail-safe modules I have been told that it isn't going to work because I am not using fail-safe power modules. According tho manual the power module I used can be used with all ET200 modules (standard and fail-safe). About using Distributed Safety you told me that I can only use it with H-Systems. In my config I only have redundancy for CPU and PROFIBUS DP, but the I/O aren't redundant. Can we still call it a H system? Now the questions that I have.... After configuring the system for fail-safe capability I want to create the logic for the fail-safe I/O. Using CFC I produced the simplest chart, but when compiling I get errors regarding chanel-drivers. All the modules are configured and are in the simbl list.
