I have a similar problem.

I get also the same error: cannot locate certificate file

.../certificates/client_selfsigned_cert_1024.pem

Via node-red I was able to establish a connection with my Siemens S7 PLC through OPC UA, but if I try to establish the connection by using document "SIMATIC IOT2000 Connection to Microsoft Azure Cloud" I still keep getting the error "cannot locate certificate file".

I could find another certificate file, client_selfsigned_cert_2048.pem, but not the "1024" variant.

Any idea where I can find (or generate) the client_selfsigned_cert_1024.pem?
