Hello TechTeam; Fist of all thank you very much for this info but I have a question about fT formula given below. How can be system stiffness (c) calculated in order to use in this formula? thanks for your considerattin

Hello, attached a figure from a small Exceltool for supporting you to calculate the torsion stiffness of a shaft. Unfortunately I cannot attach the Exceltool directly because only figures are allowed. For a clutch or gearbox mostly the values are given. The shafts between that components you can use the formula in the figure. I would recommend to create such a small tool yourself. It's very helpful. The sum stiffness you can calculate: 1/csum = 1/c1 + 1/c2 + 1/c3... e.g with c1 = clutch, c2 = gearbox, c3 = connection clutch with gearbox...
With best regards,
