Hello med_el; Quazee is quite right. Without (much) more information about your project it is difficult to provide much help. In Siemens' world, this type of application is considered a SIS application (Safety Instrumented System) and must follow the guidelines of many international Safety Standards. So, first question: is this an actual industry application, of homework? In any case, please describe the installation you plan to control. Also in Siemens' world, the level of automation required requires much finer closed-loop control than a PID can provide, and Model Predictive Control (MPC) is used to implement MISO/MIMO controls. The only software that allows this is PCS 7. Below you will find 2 application examples for PCS 7 Boiler example projects. The control logic does not only have to fulfill the requirements of the EN 62061 or EN 13849-1, but must also comply with the functional requirements of the furnace/burner/boiler specific standards.
