Hello basebalaji; If you plan on working with Siemens automationequipment, the only configuration that will support "Hot Redundancy" is a Fault-Tolerant S7-400H system, that you will find described in this manual: SIMATIC Fault-tolerant systems S7-400H S7-400H: Two CPUs specially designed with a high-speedfiber-optic linkand set up as active/standby pair to continuously update bothcontrollerson process values make up the hot-redundant system. Switchover time is calculated in ms, and it is triggered by the detection of critical faults.by the CPU's OS. A possible option is "Software Redundancy", which allows a pair of CPUs in the S7-300 and S7-400 to use standard communication networks to switch when a fault is detected in the active CPU. In this case, this is considered a "Warm Standby" system, switchover cantake up to a few seconds depending on the network selected for redundant functions, and all the programming for the redundancy functions must be done by the programmer.
