hello Mugurelgi; 1- What physical connections have you made between your analog input channel and RTD? 2-wire, 3-wire, 4-wire? If your module is not connected properly you will often get the overflow value you see (32767; see point 2 further down) Have a look at the screenshot below, taken from the S7-300 Module Data manual showing the different connection types possible.The most common used in industry is 3-wire connection. Look at the manual of your PT100 to see what suggestions they have on the subject. SIMATIC S7-300 S7-300 Module data 2- In the same manual, study Table 5-11, which shows the "Representation of analog values for resistance thermometers PT 100...". Notice the relationship between the temperature measured (first column) and the decimal value in the analog channel (second column). The Relationship is 10 to 1. So convert the PIW288 to a REAL value and divide it by 10.0 to get the actual temperature from your PT100. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
