Hello Haytham; for the different models of the s7-300 family, the physicalsupport for load memory (thisis where the program and data blocks go when you do a download to the PLC)varies, but work memory is always in RAM. So, without power, it will erase itself. Power down without battery support or when removing the MMC, depending on the age of the CPU, will do the trick. The operating system of your CPU takes the required blocks from load memory and transfers it to work memory as they are required by program execution, you cannot (through Simatic Manager, for example) choose what blocks will be loaded or removed from work memory. For a complete description of memory usage by the different types of S7-300 CPUs have a look here: How can you obtain an overview of the memory concept of SIMATIC S7-300 CPUs and C7 devices? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
