Siemens 840D Powerline. I have a problem with a toolchange hang up on an HBM. There is a command to send the arm the wrong way during certain cycles which obviously stops the machine. The machine is not recoverable from this situation. I have traced this back so far but I am now stuck. In the PLC the output to return the arm to base is dropping out due to a request to go in the opposite direction; arm to spindle. This "arm to spindle" request can be traced back to our FB210, NW212 where a "self energising" coil M1119 goes high. There are no other instances of this M1119 anywhere else in the PLC; theM1119 is an M code within the toolchange sub TCX.SPF. I know how to see the interface for M codes up to number 99 but how can I see the ones that the machine builder has used? From the attached screenshots you can see the toolchange sub program TCX.SPF moves the toolchanger via various M codes - I now need to see how they interface with the PLC.
