Dear Expert and users, i have a question relate to PID block control in PCS7. i have a device sometimes need control by PID sometime not. how to manage for PID will not calculate "PID.MV out" when it is not control by PID. Cause if it still calculate even though we not use then when we put it in process PID.MV out already have a value then it is not correct. it should start calculate at the time we put them in. I try to use "Interlock" switch ON/OFF it but it is still calculate, why? Thank you for your help. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Dear Ravi123, Here I give you a suggestion. Focus in MV_TrackON, and MV_Trk. Connect the Devices Rbk that you want to control into MV_Trk. MV_Trk will always copy the values in your actual device Rbk. For example, if your valves opened manually to 50%, 50% will be copy to MV_Trk. MV_TrackOn, So when this MV_Trk need to be activated? It could be during the valve went into Manual mode. (when ManAct = 1, MV_TrackOn =1) In this case, if the valve changed to manual, the PIDConL MV will follow the valve position. During MV_TrackOn = 1, the PID will not regulate, MV will not fluctuate. When valve changed to Auto and your PIDConL is in Auto as well, then the MV will start regulating. Hope this is helpful tips for you. |

Yea, you can use MV_ForOn as well. MV_ForOn is on top of MV_TrackOn. Normally I used it during an emergency, when something happens, MV_ForOn will activate the MV.
