If somebody use K_H_P and anybody else unlock it, why it wouldbe there? So don't ask this. Regards Sydney BTW: will you go to Microsoft site asking for unlocking the MS office files?

So one of these ways is to block the blocks using KNOW_HOW_PROTECT technique. May be you need tounblock the protected blocks again to add, delete or modify something. In the Simatic manager, under S7-program/Sources. Open the block you want to un-block. You will see the following statement in the third line " KNOW_HOW_PROTECT" Erase it! Then compile and close the block. Go to blocks. Now you will found the block "unblocked". Sometimes, programmers erase the source from the submitted software. So, you can not unblock the block and in this case you should call him for sending unblocked version of the software or at lease a version with souces. With best regards,

Of cource both of them are right. Everybody knows, in this world nothing is imposible. So if you try to search in other place maybe you'll find illegal way to open know_how_protect block.(somebody's job ). In the other way this is not correct (not allow, not legal) to ask in "open media" this question. Best regards

Even Siemens - which surely have a possibility to unlock those blocks - won't do it as they are not allowed to. If your ex senior doesn't give you the sources he might have his reasons for it. Either you sue him or you go and talk to him, why he doesn't want to give you the sources. This is the best way. Nothing personal, but nobody here knows if the story is true, maybe it is a fake. This is why the guys don't want to help you in this case.

I have created the blcok code by STL . Even if you do not have the source code ... i have heard that it is possible to remove the protection for the blocks IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY OF PROTECTING THE BLOCK , SO THAT NO ONE CAN OPEN IT

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	hi all when i create the source code for the block in STL , a folder gets created for the code inside the program folder "s7asrcom" --- > inside this folder a folder name 000000001 gets created , will it be possible to do any thing that can open the protected block with the files inside the folder mentioned please help as i am doing blocks for a project. and i do not want any one except me to open the block by any means
