How to use IOT2050 SDK with Eclipse

bergmanu Platinum Expert Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 1/18/2021 Posts: 1839 Rating: (257)	Hi all, I guess you all know the Getting Started of the IOT2040, where the procedure of cross-compiling an C/C++ application for the IOT2040 in Eclipse on Windows. We also have a SDK for the IOT2050, but at the moment only for Linux as cross-compile environment. How to install Eclipse on Linux, build and install the SDK, integrate it in Eclipse and create a Hello World application for the IOT2050 is describes in the attached document. For our development machines (Linux VM, cross compile) we are looking for a ready to use SDK. Can the SDK from your how to also be used for the current Simatic Industrial OS V2.1 ? At least there is a different kernel and I don't know about the used library version. Maybe it's worth giving it a try :) As far as I know there is an SDK for the Industrial OS in the pipeline, but I don't know the roadmap for this. Best regards!
