hunting in 480 a 6RA70 DC DRIVE

eshwar Regular Member Joined: 10/28/2010 Last visit: 12/3/2019 Posts: 46 Rating: (0)	HAI EVERY ONE CAN ANY ONE SUGGEST ME HOW TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM WE ISTALLED 450A 6RA70 DC DRIVE 3 YEARS AGO IT WAS RUNNING FINE, SINCE ONE WEEK THE DRIVE IS NOT RUNNING PROPERLY WE ARE USING FOR SPEED CONTROL WE OBSERVED VOLTAGE HUNTING AND CURRENT VARIATION WHEN SPEED IS ABOVE 40% UPTO 40% OF RATED SPEED THE DRIVE AND MOTOR IS SMOOTHLY AFTER WHEN WE INCREASE THE SPEED ABOVE 40% THE VOLTAGE AND CURRENT GETS HUNTING I HAVE CHECKED THE CURRENT IN INCOMING PHASES THE CURRENT IS BALANCED IN ALL THREE PHASES IHAVE CHECKED THE MOTOR WITH ANOTHER SIMILAR DC DRIVE IT IS RUNNING SMOOTHLY. THERE IS NO PROBLEM IN THE MOTOR IN DRIVE THERE IS NO FAULT DISPLAY PLEASE SUGGEST ME AND GUIDE ME TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. REGARDS ESHWAR

twhgarnett Regular Member Joined: 3/10/2007 Last visit: 4/12/2011 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Dear Eshwar, You can try to do current and speed optimization on the dc drive again.If it failed,please checkevery singlethyristor. We faced similar problem few years back. Thevoltage and current is hunting at high speed. Eventually after we replaced one of the thyristor (having low ohm,<100k ohm), the drive works fine. Hopes it help.

eshwar Regular Member Joined: 10/28/2010 Last visit: 12/3/2019 Posts: 46 Rating: (0)	dear sir i have done factory setting but now ian unable to do optimisation run after setting of motor parameters because my control wiring parameters also got disturbed because i have done factory setting p051-21 so please suggest me what parameters should i set i am using this drive speed control with potentiometer and simple external push button start and stop emergency stop please help in setting these parmaeters in control eshwar

Set P51=40 P76= Reduction of convertor rated DCcurrent. (Depends on your convertor rating & motor armature rated current) P78= Reduction of convertor rated supply voltage. P100=Rated motor armature current. P101=Rated motor armature voltage. P83(001)=Selection of actual speed value. (Select depending upon feedback device connected to terminal e.g. 1 for tacho, 2 for pulse encoder, 3 for emf) P741(001)=Rated Tacho voltageat nMax. P082(001)=Select the field option as per requirement. P171(001)=100% Current limit + P172(002)=100% Current limit - P180(001)=200% Torque limit + P181(002)=200%Torque limit - P303(001)=Ramp up time P304(001)=Ramp down time. Set as per load inertia. After setting above parameters, carry out optimisation proceduers & you shall be able to run the machine. Hope this will solve your problem. Best luck.
