Hi Ahmed In my opinion the PIP and OB scan for the channel driver should always match, as I've encountered problems in both mine and others code when things are out of sync. In your case to scan all your channel drivers for a certain card to the same rate but some charts related to that card have different scan rates, one possible solution is as follows: CFC's where OB and PIP match > create your CMT as normal with channel driver embedded. CFC's where OB and PIP do not match > Keep in mind that if your main CMT processing is faster than your channel driver CFC, this is not advisable since your process control will not be affecting your outputs at the same rate. Another less desirable solution is just to leave everything in the main CFC and manually move the channel driver to the other OB run time group, but this will eventually lead to other problems later if enough care is not taken. |

Ahmed The actual field IO will update/scan 5 times, but the command signal will change driving the channel driver will only update once. This is OK. But I think you can see how the opposite situation would not necessarily be OK.
