If you Asking about SLD3: Eg:) I consider the same example that i have given to another Thread, L 100 SLD3 LAR1 L PIW[AR1,P#0.0] T MW10 L 100 : Loading constant Value for pointing option eg: 100 mens in binary --1100100 SLD3 : Shifting duble word Left 3 bit ,, means, 1100100_000 means in dec 800 LAR1 : Load Address reg1 from Accu1; means the Value 800 L PIW[AR1,P#0.0] ; Pointing the 800th bit as a pointer value How you get the 800th bit : You just open Microsoft Excel and develop like below, Byte00 - 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Byte01 - 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 .......................................................... . . . Byte100 - 800 801 802 803 804 805 806 807 . . . Ultimately 800th bit is the Starting bit of Byte100.!!!!!! This is the concept of SLD3 / Pointer...!!! Just Try with this for your develoment...
